Orphan Colours formed after the indefinite hiatus of UK alt. country outfit Ahab in 2013. Along with Ahab originator Dave Burn, songwriter Steven Llewelyn recruited Danny & The Champions of The World's Steve Brooks on drums, along with close friend Graham Knight on bass. The final piece of the puzzle came when a friend of Brookes introduced former Noah & The Whale guitarist Fred Abbott to Llewelyn. The London based supergroup are set to release their debut EP 'High Hopes' later this week (26th February 2016) and they're heading out on a UK tour next month (March '16)...
'Won't Let You Down' Review:
This is the first taster of Orphan Colours' debut EP and it's a brilliant one to tease the release with. It's a classic rock track with hints of country; catchy chorus brilliant for singing along to (always a bonus at a live show), the guitars, bass and drums work perfectly alongside each other and compliment the vocals. It's clear these guys are enjoying this project and that really comes across in this track. Enjoy!
